What in the world can come close to the joy of Picking Ones Own soft fruit? - Look at that face of pure excitement? Children are really good at this job....
I was disappointed my local farm has stopped the PYO strawberries but every year they were less and less successful.

I only had to tell my Little One off 3 times for eating punnets of these fruits - it would have been more if they'd been strawbs i feel....
COME ON people..... what do you take me for??? i didn't *only* make Raspberry Gin and Raspberry Vodka. Shame on your low opinion of me.

Joy of being outdoors. and being active.
Joy at the excitement and the *potential*......

Do you have instructions for raspberry vodka? Never tried it, and I think it might be time...
Thanks!
My father-in-law makes raspberry gin and leaves some especially for the Christmas trifle, that or his rumpot with ice cream, yummy!
Unfortunately I cannot take Vodka, it makes me 'grumpy', shall we say! I do sometimes make cranberry or lemoncello vodka for Christmas gifts.
I haven't went to a PYO as a grown up, I must, I have fond memories of stuffing myself silly when I was a wee lass.

This is my first raspberry vodka / gin / anything.....
I put in a bottle: the same weight of rasps to granulated sugar. Then topped the bottle up with the alcohol.
I am going to store in a dark place for 3 months or more and keep shaking the bottles whenever i remember.
Then i will strain into glasses and drink neat!
p.s. mine was 120g rasps and 100g sugar...
I've got LOTS of beetroot. Do you have a sensible recipe for a chutney I can make with them? I've done soup and pickled them and did try freezing but they were like strawberries when defrosted so had to chuck them.
